When every region opens the same day, there is no early price

In brief

The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration expansion launched on 16 September 2026, the first expansion with a simultaneously coordinated global launch in participating markets, according to The Pokémon Company. Booster packs went on sale the same day in twelve languages; other products followed their own schedules.

Until this set, launches were not coordinated across regions, so one market's early prices could be watched before another opened. With no earlier market to look at, launch-week prices are discovered in real time, and the record of what was paid, when and in what condition carries more weight.

What it turns on

  • No head start. A same-day launch removes the weeks in which one market's prices preview another's.
  • Boosters only. The same day applied to booster packs; boxes and collections in each language have their own dates.
  • Discovery in public. Early prices form across every market at once, from first sales rather than from imports.

What we do about it

  1. 01Record the purchase. Date, source, price paid and quantity, kept with the receipt.
  2. 02Record the condition at intake. Seals and corners photographed before anything is stored or opened.
  3. 03Keep the dates on the record. So a later sale, claim or dispute can show what was held, and since when.
